DESIGN ALCHEMY COLLECTIVE

This fabric was never meant to exist...

In the print studios of Rajasthan, a humble cloth is laid beneath each block printing run, catching excess ink, absorbing layers of pattern, colour and happy accident.

It was never designed to be seen.

But we saw it.

Design Alchemy Collective rescues these underprint fabrics before they disappear, then reimagines them into one-of-a-kind cushions, quilts and textile pieces for the home. Each piece is selected by New Zealand interior designers Anna Cuthbert and Amanda Neill, then finished by hand with our artisan partners in India.

The result is not mass-produced homeware.

It is textile art for living - layered, soulful, imperfect in all the right places, and impossible to recreate.

Once a piece is gone, that exact print story ends here.
