Some fabrics hold a single moment. This one holds many. The Crimson Trails underprint is the result of 8 to 12 woodblock printings laid down over a month - each layer of ink dropping through the cloth, each one unrepeatable. What remains is a dense, Expressionist ground of deep crimson, burgundy, and brick-red, with forest green bleeding through in vertical channels that give the surface a quiet structural rhythm beneath the painterly intensity. Scattered coral, dusty pink, and warm ochre drift through the layers - and up close, large abstract floral forms emerge from the accumulated depth, like a garden seen through rain. Only one exists.
The reverse is crafted in a deep moss linen-cotton blend, the kantha running stitch visible on both sides - rows of hand-worked thread stitching the layers together across the full surface, giving the quilt its characteristic softness and drape. A vivid lime-green blanket stitch frames the edge - bold and alive against the dark warmth of the front.
