Created through a unique underprint technique where ink drops through the top layer of hand woodblock printing over 8 to 12 printings across a month, the aged cotton front reveals unexpected patterns and soft, layered colour - each one entirely unrepeatable. This piece carries the Coral Grove pattern: a dense, impressionistic ground of dusty coral, rose, and terracotta with deep forest green bleeding through in shadow and depth - painterly, moody, and entirely alive. Only one exists.
The reverse is crafted in a deep moss linen-cotton blend, the kantha running stitch visible on both sides - rows of hand-worked thread stitching the layers together across the full surface, giving the quilt its characteristic softness and drape. A green blanket stitch frames the edge with a clean, grounded finish.
