Created through a unique underprint technique where ink drops through the top layer of hand woodblock printing over 8 to 12 printings across a month, the aged cotton front reveals unexpected patterns and soft, layered colour - each one entirely unrepeatable. This piece carries the Coral Bloom pattern: a soft periwinkle blue ground alive with a fine all-over scatter of muted blue, teal, dusty pink, and soft coral - gentle, luminous, and complex in the way only accumulated layers of hand printing can be.
A limited edition of two. Cut from the same length of cloth and stitched by the same hands, they share a palette and a spirit - but the underprint process ensures each carries its own particular arrangement of colour and depth. They work beautifully together in a twin room, yet each one remains its own unrepeatable thing.
The reverse is crafted in a deep blue iris linen-cotton blend, the kantha running stitch visible on both sides - rows of hand-worked thread stitching the layers together across the full surface. A fine teal blanket stitch frames the edge with quiet precision.
