Full Kantha Dohar Quilt - Indigo Grid / Carnelian - One of a Kind

Created through a unique underprint technique where ink drops through the top layer of hand woodblock printing over 8 to 12 printings across a month, the aged cotton front reveals unexpected patterns and soft, layered colour - each one entirely unrepeatable. This piece carries the Indigo Grid pattern: a structured, all-over lattice of deep indigo and navy, the geometric grid softened by the layered depth of the underprint process - fine botanical motifs and ghost prints drifting through the intersections, giving the surface a richness that pure geometry alone could never achieve. Only one exists.

The reverse is crafted in a deep carnelian linen-cotton blend - a warm, burnished terracotta-red that brings heat and contrast to the cool indigo front. The kantha running stitch is visible on both sides, binding the layers together across the full surface. A fine blanket stitch frames the edge with a considered finish. At full quilt size, this piece has the presence of a work of art.
