Full Kantha Dohar Quilt - Forest Lines / Citrine | One of a Kind

Worked entirely by hand, this quilt is stitched through layers using rows of running stitch drawn across the full surface - the defining mark of the kantha tradition. The front is an upcycled underprint in forest lines - muted teal, slate blue, sage green and warm olive running in soft vertical bands across the surface, the result of 8 to 12 rounds of hand woodblock printing across a month of production. Where the layers build, the teal deepens to near-forest; where they thin, warm gold and dusty cream show through. Fine kantha running stitch lines trace the same quiet rhythm across the whole cloth. No two printings land the same way twice; this piece is entirely unrepeatable. Edition of one. The edges are finished with a fine hand blanket stitch - small, precise, and quietly present.

The reverse is a wide-width citrine linen-cotton blend - an acidic, green-toned yellow that lifts the depth of the forest front - with the kantha running stitch visible on both sides, tracing the same quiet rhythm across the cloth.
