Full Kantha Doha Quilt - Bamboo Forest / Moss - One of a Kind
Created through a unique underprint technique where ink drops through the top layer of hand woodblock printing over 8 to 12 printings across a month, the aged cotton front reveals unexpected patterns and soft, layered colour - each one entirely unrepeatable. This piece carries the Bamboo Forest pattern: tall vertical stalks rise across the surface in deep forest green, sage, and pale cream, the accumulated layers of ink creating a painterly, immersive depth - as though light is filtering through a living canopy. Only one exists.
The reverse is crafted in a deep moss linen-cotton blend, the kantha running stitch visible on both sides - rows of hand-worked thread stitching the layers together across the full surface, giving the quilt its characteristic softness and drape. The green blanket stitch edge frames the piece with a clean, grounded finish.
