Limited edition of 7 - each one slightly different, none repeated. Where ink drops through the top layer of hand woodblock printing over 8 to 12 printings across a month, the aged cotton beneath reveals the Pond Roses pattern - a luminous aqua and teal ground with large outlined rose forms in dusky pink, coral and deep burgundy-mauve scattered across the cloth. Some roses are rendered in crisp dark outline, others dissolve softly into the blue-green ground. Lime green and sage fill the spaces between, with soft lavender and white highlights throughout. Along the right edge, a column of more defined dark rose motifs anchors the composition. Like roses floating on a garden pond - entirely unrepeatable.

The Damson linen-cotton backing echoes the deep burgundy tones of the rose motifs, grounding the luminous aqua and pink of the front with a rich, plum-toned elegance. A 1cm flat flange frames the cover, finished with quiet precision.
