Limited edition of 4 - each one slightly different, none repeated. Where ink drops through the top layer of hand woodblock printing over 8 to 12 printings across a month, the aged cotton beneath reveals the Jaipur Sunset Stamen pattern - a warm, vibrant all-over ground of coral-pink and amber-gold, alive with sinuous dark olive-green and slate-grey botanical stamen forms flowing vertically through the surface like ink through water. Flashes of acid yellow-green and soft lavender scatter throughout, catching the light like pollen in a late afternoon garden. Dense, warm and entirely unrepeatable - like a microscopic view of a coral reef in full bloom, or a Jaipur garden at dusk. Each in the edition carries the same spirit but its own unique marks and story.
The Blue Iris linen-cotton backing provides a deep, cool counterpoint to the warm coral and amber of the front - grounding the heat with a considered, moody cool. A 1cm flat flange frames the cover on all four edges.
