One pair only - both covers cut from the same length of underprint cloth, each one slightly different from the next, made to live together. Where ink drops through the top layer of hand woodblock printing over 8 to 12 printings across a month, the aged cotton beneath reveals the Jaipur Stamen pattern - a warm, vibrant all-over ground alive with sinuous botanical stamen forms flowing through the surface. Each mark is a trace of the artisan's hand and the slow accumulation of print upon print. Sold as a pair only.
The Carnelian linen-cotton backing brings a warm, earthy terracotta tone to the reverse - grounding the painterly front with rich, considered colour. A 1cm flat flange frames the cover on all four edges.
