This is a one-of-a-kind piece. Where ink drops through the top layer of hand woodblock printing over 8 to 12 printings across a month, the aged cotton beneath reveals the Emerald Lake pattern - a dense, rich all-over impressionistic ground of deep cornflower-blue and emerald-green, like a Monet water garden seen from above. Soft rounded clusters of blue drift through green, layered and complex, the surface shimmering with depth and light. Every mark is unrepeatable. There is only one.

The Jasper linen-cotton backing echoes the deep teal-green of the flange, grounding the luminous blue and green of the front with a cool, considered depth. A 1cm flat flange frames the cover on all four edges.
