This is a one-of-a-kind piece. Where ink drops through the top layer of hand woodblock printing over 8 to 12 printings across a month, the aged cotton beneath reveals the Coral Stripe Indigo pattern - a warm blush-pink and peach ground crossed with fine vertical stripe lines, overlaid with large, painterly teal-blue and deep forest-green floral and leaf forms layering across the entire surface. The stripe is the quiet structural backbone - running through the warm coral ground like a shadow of order beneath the exuberant, impressionistic bloom above. Rich, layered and entirely unrepeatable - like a Monet garden seen through a striped cotton veil.

The Blue Iris linen-cotton backing provides a deep indigo-teal counterpoint to the warm coral and blush of the front, echoing the cool teal forms of the pattern and grounding the warmth with a considered cool. A 1cm flat flange frames the cover, finished with quiet precision.
