This is a one-of-a-kind piece. Where ink drops through the top layer of hand woodblock printing over 8 to 12 printings across a month, the aged cotton beneath reveals the Coral Bloom 3 pattern - a soft impressionistic scatter of warm burnt orange, terracotta and amber dappled across a dusty blue-grey ground, like sunlight on water or autumn leaves seen through mist. On the left, a cooler area of blue-grey holds faint outlined circular floral motifs ghosting through the layers. Warm and cool tones in constant conversation, painterly and luminous. Each is entirely unrepeatable.

The Blue Iris linen-cotton backing echoes the cool blue-grey tones of the left side, grounding the warm orange bloom of the front with a deep, denim-toned elegance. A 1cm flat flange frames the cover, finished with quiet precision.
