Created through a unique underprint technique where ink drops through the top layer of hand woodblock printing over 8 to 12 printings across a month, the aged cotton front of Beach Stripe reveals unexpected patterns and soft, layered colours that tell a story of heritage and artisanal craft. Each one entirely unrepeatable - bearing the fingerprints of the hands that made it, subtle markings and layered tones pressed into the cotton over weeks of printing.
The backing is a soft 45% cotton / 55% linen blend in Jasper - a deep, earthy tone inspired by the semi-precious stone. Finished with a 1cm flat flange border. Coloured with azo-free dyes and ethically handcrafted in India, designed in Aotearoa.
