Full Kantha Dohar Quilt - Electric Teal / Jasper | One of a Kind

Worked entirely by hand, this quilt is stitched through two layers using rows of running stitch drawn across the full surface - the defining mark of the kantha tradition. The front is an upcycled underprint in electric teal - navy, teal, olive green, and dusty rose medallions arranged in repeating vertical columns, each motif the result of 8 to 12 rounds of hand woodblock printing across a month of production. The layered printings shift and overlap in ways that cannot be planned or repeated; this piece is entirely unrepeatable. Edition of one. The edges are finished with a hand blanket stitch - parallel lines of hand stitching that frame the full perimeter of the cloth.

The reverse is a wide-width jasper linen-cotton blend - deep, rich, and grounding - with the kantha running stitch visible on both sides, tracing the same quiet rhythm across the cloth.
